New Features : What does that lock mean?
Posted by Staff1 on 2003/11/11 22:02:24 (5201 reads)

Ever wonder why some boards have diamonds and some have locks? The ones with locks are private boards, that are only accessible by request. No one but members of that board can read or post there. And no one but members of that board can even see the title of it!

Any board you can see, you have access to. Even though there is a "LOCK" symbol on it, if you can see it, you have been given access to it. The lock simply reassures you that it IS private and that only certain members and no visitors can see the board. That is why you should always log in when coming to the site, so you can see your private boards.

If you DON'T have a board listed between "Learning about T18" and "Caring for a Child" (and you are the parent of a T18 child) you can request one of those boards. And if you DO have one listed there, you already have access, so please come and join us there.

To request access to a private board, use the private board access page to sign up for your specialty board.
