New Features : What are Family Profiles?
Posted by Staff1 on 2003/11/24 15:16:16 (4908 reads)

You’ve probably noticed that our home page is always featuring a Family Profiles story. But how do we pick which ones to feature, and where can you read all of the stories?

First of all, any community member can have his or her baby’s story featured in this section. All you have to do is download the Questionnaire, save it to your computer, and fill out the answers. Then email it to Once we receive it, we will take your responses and write your baby’s story for the site. After it’s written, we send it to you for your approval and any changes before it’s finalized. During that time, you can select any photos you want to accompany the story and email them as well. All the details are included in the questionnaire.

Once your story is complete, it is placed in the queue. We want to “unveil” each story by featuring it on the front page for 1 – 2 weeks, depending on the number in the queue, so it won’t be made public right away. So please be patient until it’s your turn. But you can have a “sneak peek” at it ahead of time if you want! When it is time, your baby’s story will be featured like the one at the right.

When the next story is featured, your story still remains in the section. You can link to it from your signature (ask for help if you’re not sure how) and you can update it (with new photos, thoughts, etc.) at any time by emailing us. The way to read all the stories in the section is by clicking on the “Family Profiles” link on the left side of the site.
